COMPETITORS: ENTRY RULES & APPLICATIONS
Institutional Registration Cards

ALL CREWS submitting entries must complete an Institutional Registration Card (IRC) prior to receiving a Crew Entry Application Form.

Online IRC Available Now

Institutions representing college and university teams comprised of undergraduate students eligible to compete in intercollegiate athletics in accordance with NCAA rules must require members to compete as part of their college or university institution through the use of one recognized Institutional Registration Card.

Only one Institutional Registration Card will be accepted from each college or university with the following exception: two Institutional Registration Cards, one for men and one for women, will be accepted from a single institution (school, college, or university) in cases where men's and women's rowing programs have been historically separate, or where men's and women's rowing programs are administered separately.

Alumni and graduate rowing programs will be considered as separate institutions from their affiliated school, college, or university and will not be permitted to share entries with their affiliated academic institution.

Crew Entry Application Forms will be issued only to eligible institutions from which a completed IRC has been received. An Institution is eligible to receive a Crew Entry Application for the 2011 Head Of The Charles Regatta if ONE of the following criteria is met:
1. US Institutions must be a member in good-standing (the 2011 dues have been paid). The fee when submitting the Institutional Registration Card ("IRC") will be $25.
or
2. Non-US Institutions must be members in good-standing (the dues have been paid for the current year) with their nation's FISA-recognized governing body. The fee when submitting the Institutional Registration Card (IRC) will be $25.
or
3. Institutions not registered with their nation's FISA-recognized governing body must register for Institutional Membership with the Head Of The Charles Regatta (fee $200 prior to May 1/$250 thereafter). Your institution does NOT have to be a member of USRowing for 2011.

** Please note, the traditional wait period of one calendar year for all new institutions submitting sweep-oared entries to the HOCR has been eliminated.
